WITH his wife's 31st birthday
coming up fast Andy knew just what to splash out on -a new Mrs.
He surprised mum-of-two Lisa by booking her in for
an unusual treat . . . extensive COSMETIC SURGERY.
Andy secretly arranged for
her to spend the big day having fat sucked out and her boobs boosted.
And he even got the nurses to string balloons
and banners around his wife's bed on the ward and deliver a cake.
Lisa was THRILLED with the £4,000 gift — even if she did spend her birthday
bruised, bandaged and in hospital on her own. She said: "When Andy told
me what he'd forked out, I was gobsmacked. Some people think I should have been offended but I was over the moon.
Andy knew how unhappy
I was with my body since having the kids so he thought the perfect present
would be a new one."
Lisa, a former dancer,
hated her withered bust and lumpy, pear-shaped, size 14 body and the last thing
she felt like doing was celebrating another year gone.
She had always worked hard
to maintain a trim, toned figure but having children Courtney, six, and Mia,
three, had left her with lumps and bumps in all the wrong places.
Lisa said: "I tried
eating less and exercising when I had the time but with kids it was hard. And
it seemed while I could lose it from my top half, my thighs and buttocks stayed
wobbly."
On top of that,
breastfeeding had zapped the life from her once perky boobs and she despised
having to ditch her sexy, skimpy tops for frumpy cover-ups.
She said: "I hated going out, my
confidence was so low. I felt old before my time. I used to love dressing up in
sexy gear to go out. One of my favourites was a leather-style catsuit.
"But with the way my
body looked I wore baggy dresses and felt like a granny. I always talked about
surgery but didn't think we'd be able to afford it."
Magazine pictures of
gorgeous celebrity mums like Jordan and Myleene Klass made her feel worse.

"I couldn't understand why they all looked
great and I'd totally lost it," she said. "It wasn't fair."
And her low self-esteem was
starting to affect their relationship.
"Andy would book a table for dinner and I'd
get dressed and immediately feel upset. He tried telling me I looked gorgeous
but I didn't feel like the woman he'd fallen for."
If he said she still looked great she accused him
of lying and if he admitted her body had changed she would cry, Andy, 44, says:
"It was a no-win situation."
Lisa even started shying away from SEX. She said: "We'd always
had an amazing love life but I couldn't bear him to see my breasts or wobbly
legs with the lights on, so I made excuses."
Andy, a printer, said:
"That's when I knew there was something seriously wrong with Lisa."
She spent more and more
time dreaming of cosmetic surgery, but with prices topping £8,000 for a boob
job and liposuction in the UK they could never afford it.
Yet Andy was already thinking of ways he could help
his wife get her bounce back.
He said: "I knew she would have killed for
plastic surgery but it was a case of finances.
"I didn't think she
needed it at all because to me Lisa has always been stunning. But it was the change in her
personality that made me see how important it was for her to feel good about
herself."
Then he got a bonus at work
and dreamed up the plan to surprise her, contacting a company he had seen his
wife reading about online.
Lindabriggs.co.uk arranged surgery abroad
for a fraction of the UK cost. He asked if they had any spaces for his wife's
birthday and explained the treat he had in mind.
Andy said: "They said it was unusual but
would be delighted to help make Lisa's day special. As they already had emails
from Lisa they knew it was her decision, not something I was pushing her into,
so they were happy to help."

Andy secretly sent pictures his wife had already
taken of herself for the surgeon to make an assessment. He then arranged a flight and spending money on top of the
£4,000 fee for her ops.
Then, days before her birthday, Andy sat Lisa down
and told her about her present.
She said: "I was going mad, jumping up
and down. I was so excited and happy."
There was just enough time
to pack, buy the bits she needed to take and explain to her daughters she would
be away for a few days.
Lisa said: "My mates
were green with envy and said they wished their husbands would do something
like my treat."
The next day she was on a plane to Tunisia for her
ops — liposuction to her hips, thighs, bottom and knees and breast implants to
boost her from a B to D cup. Lisa said: "It felt strange waking up alone
on my birthday without the kids, no cards and presents."
But when she was wheeled back from theatre after
the three-hour op Lisa was stunned to see her hospital bed decorated to Andy's
instructions.
The nurses even gathered around and sang happy
birthday while Lisa posed for snaps in a pink birthday crown.
She said: "Andy had even sent me out a
present, lovely undies to show off my new figure, it was so romantic
and thoughtful.
"I was in pain and
could hardly move — but it was the best birthday ever."
Nearly
two litres of fat her been sucked out and over the next few days the
bruising subsided. Back home in Wisbech, Cambs, with her
new size eight body, Andy thought it was his birthday.
He
said: "I loved her as she was but I wanted her to be happy. She looked
incredible."
Now all of her bruises have faded and Lisa loves showing off her new
body.
She added: "Andy's mates tease him and say he
bought a new wife but I'm pleased he did.
"I can wear all my old sexy gear again and the
bedroom lights are definitely ON. It was probably my best birthday ever and one I
definitely won't forget."
